When Street Fighter II Ruled the Arcades

There was a time when gamer glory wasn’t about digital achievements, but about how long you could survive in a Street Fighter II match.

The rules were simple: lose and go back to the line  win and keep the throne.

Didn’t matter if you were Team Ryu, Ken, or Guile  what mattered was landing that Hadouken like a pro.
And yeah, there was always that one player who knew all the combos… and the other one who mashed buttons and somehow still won.

The shouts, the laughs, the snacks on the side,  that was multiplayer before Wi-Fi.
